After giving a couple of hits between the two, it was likely to be presumed that they will be in talks to work in the future, but Ranbir says he is yet to sign a film with Imtiaz, though he is keen to work with the director of Love Aaj Kal.

Ranbir says, ‘Imtiaz is somebody I am really interested in working with. We have had a couple of meetings in which he has also shown interest in working with me. Imtiaz is a director who will make a movie if he has a story and he will cast accordingly. I met him through the making of Love Aaj Kal. He has come home often. I have done an ad film with him. I have interacted with him at many filmy functions. I really like the guy. People may think that he is philosophical but I think his philosophy is really simple in life. He has lots and lots of stories to tell.”

Even Imtiaz is as keen on working with Ranbir, “I like Ranbir a lot , specially in Wake Up Sid. I think he is one actor of the current age who is capable of doing all kinds of films and can do variety. I met him a lot of times, we have worked in an ad film also. But I cast actors after I am complete with the script and I cast according to the script. So still now I have not yet come up with any script which I think Ranbir will suit the role for. Once I wrote something and my imagination suits Ranbir I will definitely cast him. Although casting Rishi Kapoor and Neetu aunty were like a dream come true for me when they agreed to be a part of LAK.”
