Actress Deepika Padukone is shooting in London for Desi Boyz, and got a proposal whilst she was there. A rich Punjabi family offered her Rs, 4 crores to perform her Dum Maaro Dum item number at a private party they were hosting for close family and friends.
There was a condition to this however: Deepika would have to wear the same clothes she wore in the song, and would have to execute the same dance moves.
In the film, Shahid’s character plays a struggler, who wants to make it big in the world of showbiz and does several ads in search of his big break. In real life, Shahid wasn’t exactly a struggler, but he was keen on becoming a star. He was a trainer with Shiamak Davar’s dance company, and appeared in commercials for Pepsi and Complan (as a child).

Last year, she was scheduled to perform at the JW Marriott but due to 26/11, the shows were cancelled as all celebrations were low key. She was to be paid 1 crore at the time and now she is being paid double of what she was offered last year.
