LAHORE: Veena Malik is back in the news but this time for personal reasons. The model-turned-actor announced her breakup with her fiance, Faisal Akbar Khan on Thursday.

Many link this break up to Malik’s friendship with Ashmit Patel but the actor has a different story to tell. While talking to The Express Tribune she said, “I called up Faisal and told him that I can no longer marry him. I told him that I am breaking the engagement as I have to focus on my career. We couldn’t develop an understanding and there was no use in dragging this engagement any further.”

Khan is a businessman based in New York and is a family friend of Malik. The two got engaged in October last year after cricketer Mohammad Asif broke up with Malik and got married.

The actor said, “Faisal proposed to me quite a long time ago but I didn’t accept. After my break up with Asif, my parents asked me to marry him and I couldn’t resist.

I gave our relationship time but we couldn’t reach an understanding so I amicably called him up and told that I cannot marry him.”

However Malik did not reveal when she did plan on getting married. When asked about her relationship with Patel she stood by her previous stance and said, “I have always said he is just my friend. We have a good relationship and that’s all there is to it.”

Showing baby bump might be a fashion in Hollywood but the trend is still to catch up in Bollywood. Our Bollywood actresses are reluctant to exhibit their increasing baby bumps in camera. As reported, Kajol is expecting her second child and she is showing her hesitant to show her increasing baby bump during an ad shoot. She asked the camera person to focus on her face than her body. She asked him to take close-ups rather than long shots as she is few months pregnant and her bump is revealing. This happens while shooting for anti-aging cream at the Mehboob studio.

An eyewitness informs, “While shooting the commercial Kajol was a tad reluctant to shoot long shots due to her pregnancy. She politely told the team to only take close-up shots.” The actress was accompanied by her mother Tanuja. The source adds, “Kajol looked lovely in a loose black dress, which she was wearing for obvious reasons. She was glowing. But she looked flustered as it was very hot. She kept munching biscuits and sipping juices to beat the heat.”

Presently, Kajol is working for Karan Johar’s ‘Stepmom’.

Barbara Mori’s 12-year-old son Sergio will soon hit the big screen in a Mexican film, with his mommy.
The movie is being produced by Barbara’s production house.

After having shot her first Bollywood movie Kites, the actress now plans to concentrate on her regional films, rather than on Hollywood .

A source reveals that, Sergio is quite excited to face the camera.

“Sergio has been on the movie sets from quite an early age. He is looking forward to shooting with his mom.”

Sergio plays Barbara’s son in the film. The movie is about a single mother finding love, late in her life. It will showcase the mother-son bond between the two.

However, this isn’t the first time Barbara and Sergio will be facing the camera together. The two have previously done a commercial shoot for the global ‘Got Milk’ campaign.

Riya, who will soon be seen in Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘Abohoman’ and ‘Nauka dubi’, has been quite active on twitter and has now found another medium to connect with her fans.

If rumours are to be believed then Shilpa Shetty and her beau Raj Kundra will tie the knot at the end of this month, but by that time there are very less chances that Shamita may attend her sister’s wedding.

Shamita is one of the strong contestants in Bigg Boss 3’s house; so far she has been real in house, though sometimes her inability to speak Hindi looks indigestible. But overall she is doing well in the show by not talking too much about everyone. She seems to be gelling well with everyone in the house and is not showing any kind of attitude. So there are possibilities that any of her housemates would vote against her, and she will be out of the house so soon.

It has just been a month that the show has started and it is expected to conclude on December 3, if Shamita will be in top three contestant then she will have to remain in the house till December 3 while Shilpa who got engaged without her sister on October 24 last month. Shamita too expressed inside the house that she often misses her parents, beloved sister and would be brother-in law-Raj, and how she likes to spend time with him. But she could not attend their engagement.

Now if Shilpa and Raj really decide to get married in the last week of November it is likely that Shamita may not be able to attend it. It is said that both sisters are fond of each other and are very attached too, so will Shilpa change the date of her marriage for her little sis or she will get married with her absence, for that one has to wait andwatch.
