There was a famous song of Shashi Kapoor’s which went like “Khilte Hain Gul Yahan Khil Ke Bikharne Ko …. Milte Hain Dil Yaha Mil Ke Bichadne Ko”. This song seems to reflect the love lives of most modern day film-stars of Bollywood. The older generation of actors were much more loyal to their partners and break-ups were not the order of the day. Or maybe they just lived behind a facade of normalcy and the media and general public never found out what was really happening in their lives.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Shahid,” says Kunal Kohli. The director tweeted on Sunday morning: “Shahid Kapoor and me working together in my next film. Will hopefully sign the heroine in the next few days. Will keep you posted.” The yet untitled film will be starting in April once Shahid wraps up the shooting for Mausam. Kohli will be producing-directing the film.
In the film, Shahid’s character plays a struggler, who wants to make it big in the world of showbiz and does several ads in search of his big break. In real life, Shahid wasn’t exactly a struggler, but he was keen on becoming a star. He was a trainer with Shiamak Davar’s dance company, and appeared in commercials for Pepsi and Complan (as a child).
Abhishek Bachchan died in Sarkar 2 and Aishwarya’s character took over the reins for a while. The movie ended on an open note with Amitabh Bachchan’s character, Subhash Nagre, demanding that he wanted to see Kay Kay Menon’s son Chikoo, so that he could train him to take over the empire. Ranbir Kapoor was offered the role of the grown-up Chikoo.
Vidya Balan spoke about how the break-up left her in a state of loneliness affecting her personal and professional life gravely. With all the issue made about her weight and appearance, the actress also lost several friends in the bargain. Her spat with close- friends and designers Manish Malhotra and Shabina Khan on her styling had them publicly swearing off from ever working with her again. Vidya is hoping to redeem herself with her upcoming films which will showcase in her light all together.
When Boney Kapoor was invited to the ongoing Cairo International Film Festival, it was in the capacity of being a Guest of Honour. However, to his pleasant surprise, he was also bestowed upon a Lifetime Achievement award, something which he didn’t see coming at all. What acted as a cherry on the top, literally so, was the fact that the felicitation happened yesterday, 11th November, which happens to be Boney Kapoor’s birthday.
