Immediately after the realese of Saif Ali Khan’s home-production Agent Vinod, He and his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor are all set to tie the knot. This news has been confirmed by Saif Ali Khan’s sister Soha.

“The date hasn’t been finalised. Bhai says after Agent Vinod releases, they will finalise the date and share it with everyone,” said Soha. “Tentatively, it is March, since the release of Agent Vinod has been planned for February 2012. It will be soon after that,” she added.

according to sources, Saif has kept Agent Vinod as his current priority.

“Saif and Kareena had decided that they would marry in early 2012. After Nawab Pataudi’s death, the family was in two minds about postponing the date. However, both the families decided that the wedding should happen sooner instead of later,” a source revealed.

So will marriage be a problem to Kareena’s career?

Shahid and Kareena had a dreamy romance that woke up to a tough reality. Their affair hit the news in a very bad taste with the MMS of the two of them in a passionate lip lock. The two separated after much ho-hulla. Apparently now the things between them are so bad, that recently Kareena refused to do a film with Shahid. Kareena is now seeing Saif Ali Khan and they seem to be quite the love birds!

“Kareena is so beautiful, you can look and admire her all day and not get bored of her,” said Khan, adding, “She is a wonderful person too; so warm and friendly and a terrific actress who is dedicated to her work.”

“We have wanted to work with each other since a long time and we have finally got together for 3 Idiots in which we have been paired romantically,” smiled Khan.

Khan has worked with both Karisma and Kareena, so what does he have to say about that? “I remember Kareena was very young when she visited the sets of Andaz Apna Apna and Raja Hindustani. I think they both are equally fantastic actresses and I am chummier terms with Kareena.”

Kareena couldn’t take her eyes off Aamir, like a star-struck fan and mouthed ‘thank you’ as he praised her. “I think there is no one like Aamir Khan. He is a true emperor and cinematic genius, even though he is an idiot in the film. 3 Idiots is a milestone film in my career and something I will be proud to tell my children about,” said the stunning star. Apparently, Saif isn’t too pleased about Kareena being star struck by Aamir.

Aamir, on the other hand has different sentiments about Saif (who is back in the pink of health) and Kurbaan though. Aamir is gung-ho about Kurbaan. “I think we should promote Kurbaan now,” he joked, adding on a serious note, “Kurbaan is one film I am really excited about as the promos look spectacular and intriguing.”

‘Kareena is intensely passionate about her work and films. We both like working together, but we have to choose our roles carefully, as people don’t find off-screen couples interesting on screen,’ he says matter-of-frankly.

He adds, ‘She is an intense actress, who is very focused and interested in her work. She is also sensitive and fun to work with.’

Saif is proud about his lady’s selection of movies. ‘I think Kareena was brilliant in Jab We Met; she looked stunning in Kambakkht Ishq, which was a fun, masala film. I saw a rough print of Main aurr Mrs. Khanna, which I found sweet. I am no authority on films, but I think Bebo does all kinds of roles to cater to all kinds of audiences. Now, she has equally different films like Kurbaan, 3 Idiots, the remake of Stepmom and Agent Vinod. So, she is always expanding her capabilities as an actress,’ he says proudly.

Saif and Kareena are madly in love with each other. So, how does that help them on the sets? ‘I love working with Kareena and watching her on the sets. We know we are creating special moments in movies. We both are concerned about each other’s moods, as we are deeply involved with each other. On the other side, we do want space from each other. I think working with Kareena is like working with my mother. We know everything about each other, and I cannot even impress her. She sees right through me.’

After having endorsed a wide variety of products right from shampoos (Garnier) to fashion wear (Globus), gorgeous actress Kareena Kapoor has bagged yet another big endorsement deal. Kareena would be seen launching and promoting Sony Vaio’s new ‘Size Zero’ laptops. The actress is currently in the capital to attend a press conference announcing the launch of the ultra-thin ‘Size Zero’ laptops by Sony Vaio.

The actress, who was responsible for making ‘Size Zero’ a household term a couple of years ago, thus becomes the first Indian brand ambassador of Sony Vaio. Says a source associated with the brand, “When Sony Vaio thought of launching the ‘Size Zero’ range of laptops -the only person who embodied what the brand stood for was Kareena Kapoor. She is the industry’s No.1 actress and the new range of Sony Vaio’s ‘Size Zero’ laptops is compact, classy, chic and sophisticated just like Kareena.”

Kareena, who has 2 big films (Kurbaan with Saif Ali Khan and 3 Idiots with Aamir Khan) lined up for release in the coming months, is surely having a rollicking year what with the best of films and the best of endorsement deals. Way to go girl.

The times have changed now and Kareena and Abhishek, who could have been sister and brother-in-law, had Karisma married Junior B, have decided to let bygones be bygones and work together. They made up at KJo’s birthday bash a while back.

If Bebo bags the film, it will benefit her professionally, commercially and personally.

A source tells us, ‘Kareena and Karan Johar also had a tiff during the time of Kal Ho Naa Ho. After the success of K3G, he offered the film to her but she quoted a very high price due to which Preity Zinta stepped in her shoes. The two have kissed and made up since and they even shot for a paint ad together. KJo wanted to cast her in Dostana but AB didn’t want to work with her. Now Kareena has shot for Kurbaan and she is also shooting for the remake of Stepmom. If she bags Dostana 2, she will have a trilogy with Dharma which few stars (read SRK) can boast of. It will also end her long standing cold war with John Abraham whom she had once called ‘expressionless.’ Also, Bebo can do any kind of role as she is an expressive and versatile actor.’

Katrina is also in the running for the role but it looks like Kareena, with her Bollywood royalty clout, will beat her to it and Kat won’t get the cream.

Director Tarun Mansukhani denied casting Katrina altogether, saying that the script wasn’t complete as yet but he neither confirmed nor denied Kareena’s presence in the film, which will go into production in London next year. He added, “I want to make D2 funnier than the first and casting someone who has a flair for comedy is important, so its really a toss whom to take for the female lead, and am not ruling out one of the either, but let’s wait till I make an official announcement.”

Karan Johar had written the story for Kurbaan about six or seven years ago.

The film was supposed to star Shah Rukh Khan, Tabu and Sanjay Dutt. It was to be directed by Nikhil Advani and all the other details were finalized too. But, for some reason, it didn’t get made then.

After all this time, Karan’s wish to make Kurbaan is finally coming true, with Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi and with Rensil D’Silva directing it.

According to sources, Kurbaan was earlier titled Kaal, which became the name of one of Karan’s films. But when he narrated the story to Rensil, the latter structured a screenplay that changed the film altogether and made it Kurbaan.

Since then, Saif and Kareena were the first choice for the film. The film has been written and directed by Rensil D’Silva but the story’s credit goes to Karan.

Kareena said, ‘I am looking forward to doing roles that I connect with. Kurbaan, for instance, has a socio-political theme and is about what is happening in the world today. It is relevant and I connected with it.’

When asked about the kind of roles she wants to do, she replied, ‘I want to work with off-beat directors like Sudhir Mishra, Rajkumar Gupta and Dibakar Banerjee but my role has to be meaty. I don’t want to be just a beautiful and glamourous doll. I don’t have to do a small role in an offbeat film just to prove I can act. I am looking for a serious challenge and a title role in an offbeat film, like I have had in Chameli, Omkara and Dev.’

And Kurbaan and 3 Idiots were challenging in different ways. ‘They will take me beyond whatever I have done and achieved so far.’

She is currently absorbed in KJo’s remake of Stepmom. ‘This is an important and challenging role for me because I am sharing space with Kajol, who is a spectacular actress. I have to make sure my performance is up to the mark. I also have the responsibility of essaying Julia Roberts’ character to perfection, which is why I attended some acting workshops. My character is a contemporary and urban girl. I am so absorbed in this movie that I haven’t got time to think about anything else, not even Saif’s Agent Vinod, which is like an in-house film for me.’

Main aurr Mrs. Khanna has proved to be a debacle. When asked about it, she said, ‘I did the film for emotional reasons. Karisma and Salman have been buddies and co-stars. She asked me to do it and I couldn’t say no.’

Her younger sister Kareena is known for her yoga obsession, but actress Karisma Kapoor, who is a mother of one and expecting a second, says she prefers the “gym and a walk” unlike her sibling.

“Kareena is the yoga endorser (of our family). She gets after us to do yoga. But I am not so much into yoga as she is. She has really taken to it and it’s a great form of exercise but I prefer the gym, ” Karisma told.

“I live a healthy lifestyle. I eat well, but I exercise and do everything in moderation. I go to the gym or for a walk and that’s it for me, ” she added.

Asked about her comments on Kareena’s much-hyped size-zero figure, the 35-year-old asserted: “I don’t think there’s any size zero. I genuinely feel that Kareena just lost all her baby fat. She made herself fit and got the cuts that her body has. She just worked at getting that and has been able to bring that out.”
