India’s music maestro AR Rahman and Bollywood’s lovely London beauty Katrina Kaif were the chief guests at a gathering recently held in Mumbai to launch the nursery rhyme collection ‘Rhymeskool’.
During her address, the actress, who has given a voiceover for the collection, said that people really want to listen to her voice, somebody wants her to speak in Hindi or somebody wants to hear her sing. She confessed that she is terribly bad at singing.
Katrina had earlier wanted to remake Hollywood romcom What Happens in Vegas starring Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz, but failed to receive the film’s rights. She then set her eyes on French film À la folie… pas du tout (He loves me… he loves me not), starring acclaimed French actress Audrey Tatou The French film had received a lot of critical and box-office success, and Katrina, who idolizes Tatou, can’t wait to portray her in the film. She has already spoken to the concerned people and is in the process of receiving the rights of the film.
Last year, she was scheduled to perform at the JW Marriott but due to 26/11, the shows were cancelled as all celebrations were low key. She was to be paid 1 crore at the time and now she is being paid double of what she was offered last year.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who caught up with actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif on the sets of reality show “Bigg Boss 3″ recently, is all praises for the latter and says she is a “modern day marvel”.
