3 Idiots could also be the term of reference in speaking about the triumvirate: Shantanu Moitra (composer), Swanand Kirkire (lyricist-vocalist), and Vidhu Vinod Chopra (producer-director) who have combined their talents to churn out as little as one Hindi film music album every year, or even less, but nevertheless something that precariously stands out against the incoming sonic wave of mix-and-match cacophony music that Bollywood keeps regurgitating week after week.

The music is below average. Don’t expect any great lyrics. The songs will have extreme reactions: you either hate it or you love it. There is not one timeless tune. The music of Singh is Kinng seems like a masterpiece compared to this one, which simply recycles Pritam’s previous hit tunes.

After Bachna Ae Haseeno, Ranbir’s second film with YRF, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year will release on December 11 this year. It is a Shimit Amin film (he made Chak De India) and it is highly anticipated. Ranbir’s film with Aditya Chopra will be his third with the production house. Usually actors are on three-film contracts.

‘The film is based on North West Frontier Province freedom fighter Abdul Gaffar Khan, widely known as Frontier Gandhi. Amitabh Bachchan will be mouthing heavy Urdu lines in the film and will also sport a beard, kajal and wear Pathani suits,’ informs a source. The movie will go on the floors in February 2010 and in true SLB style, it has a big budget.
