With Nandana Sen’s ‘Rang Rasiya’ already clearing off the censor with topless scenes, the question arises that do movie makers still doubt the maturity of Indian audience.

Payal Rohatgi, who is known for her ‘bold’ image says, “I think the Indian audience is not mature enough. Men download images to gratify themselves but movies are a different genre. Movies are meant for family watching and a raunchy promo will insure that family audiences don’t pull in. So movie makers are also vary,”

Film critic Taran Adarsh says, “At the click of the button you can access information. Technology cannot be curtailed. Anything can be seen online even if you try to keep it away from film prints.”

Barbara Mori’s 12-year-old son Sergio will soon hit the big screen in a Mexican film, with his mommy.
The movie is being produced by Barbara’s production house.

After having shot her first Bollywood movie Kites, the actress now plans to concentrate on her regional films, rather than on Hollywood .

A source reveals that, Sergio is quite excited to face the camera.

“Sergio has been on the movie sets from quite an early age. He is looking forward to shooting with his mom.”

Sergio plays Barbara’s son in the film. The movie is about a single mother finding love, late in her life. It will showcase the mother-son bond between the two.

However, this isn’t the first time Barbara and Sergio will be facing the camera together. The two have previously done a commercial shoot for the global ‘Got Milk’ campaign.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan too is leaving no stone unturned to promote 3 IDIOTS. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he is still awaiting an acknowledgement for an SMS that he sent to Shah Rukh Khan on his birthday over a week ago.

“Nov 2 was Shah Rukh’s birthday and I may have been the very early wisher to him, but he still has not acknowledged, ” Bachchan posted on his blog.

” (His) mobile must have crashed with the number of wishes he had continued to receive throughout the day. Maybe I should send him a reminder. (It is) most unlike him. I wished Gauri and him for their anniversary a few days back and they responded. But why not now?”

The actors have featured together in films like “Bhootnath”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”, “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna” and “Mohabbatein”.

Earlier, cricketer M.S. Dhoni had ignored Amitabh’s congratulatory message when he was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian award.

Since a the last few days, the legendary actor Om Puri was in the news, courtesy, the explosive revelations about his past, which has now taken the shape of a book (the biographical ‘Unlikely Hero: The Story Of Om Puri’), and that was penned by none other than his own wife Nandita Puri. Om Puri was so visibly upset with the revelations, that he spared no word to blast Nandita through a couple of leading tabloids.

The controversy started when his wife Nandita, who has written biography on Om Puri’s life, revealed his private moments and sexual encounters of the past in her book. Details like Om had sex with his maid Shanti at the age of 14 and that he had a longstanding liaison with a woman named Laxmi with whom Om was sexually and emotionally involved, were given out to media which fumed Om. In vengeance, he blasted off his wife in media for her decision to reveal these details. He said that his wife had reduced a very important and sacred part of his life to cheap and lurid gossip and that he had shared these dark secrets with her as all husbands do. If she chose to make them public at least she should’ve made sure to maintain a dignity about those experiences as they are a valuable part of his life and should’ve considered the standing he has in the society. The actor added that there was so much more to his life than this; hence why highlight those experiences of his life.

Now that the dust has settled down, Om Puri seems to be heavily regretting his decision to have spoken out so bitterly against his wife and her book. He said that he was very angry then, but now he deeply regretted his impulsive reaction as it has hurt his wife and his son Ishaan to no end.

Nevertheless, the actor is livid with the book’s publishers and says that actually they are to be blamed for sending out such sensitive aspects about his sexual encounters to the media. Om says his anger should have been projected at the publishers for trying to pre-sell his wife’s book by leaking out only the sexual episodes.

The irony of the situation was that the ‘blasting episode’ took place on Nandita’s birthday, a pain that Om is likely to carry throughout his life!

Farhan has completed shooting for Karthik Calling Karthik and is simultaneously working on the Don sequel and a few other scripts. He has also signed for the second edition of Oye! It’s Friday which will keep him busy for a couple of months. KCK will release next year and he is planning rock concerts for the same.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Kapoor is busy adapting Chetan Bhagat’s 3 Mistakes of My Life to the silver screen. That film is in pre-production.

A source tells us, ‘Abhishek and Farhan have met several times to discuss the sequel. They want to keep the magic alive and not make a film just for the heck of it. At the end of the film, Arjun and Shahana were happy together, Farhan had a baby boy and Koel was paired with Purab. Their friendship grew stronger even though Luke Kenny’s Rob was no more. Purab and Arjun started a talent company together. New characters may have to be introduced in the sequel. Rock On had a very DCH feel and making a sequel to that would be like making one to DCH. So the ideas and the script have to be spot on.’

Director Abhishek Kapoor said, “The idea of a sequel is tempting but I don’t want to make one for the heck of it. People have loved Rock On and I don’t want to tarnish memories of it. I will make a sequel only if I write a great script and the cast agrees to do it.”

Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambakkht Ishq, which earlier this year rocked the B.O. with a bumper opening, has now bagged yet another prestigious honour. The film, which recently won an award for ‘Best Locations’, has been invited by the Library of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences to be a part of its permanent Core Collection.

The screenplay of the film will be part of the Library of Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences and made accessible for research purposes only to students, filmmakers, writers, actors and other regular patrons of the Library.

It may be recalled that Kambakkht Ishq was even shot at the prestigious Kodak Theatre where the Academy awards are held each year. Now having bagged this honour, the makers of Kambakkht Ishq (namely producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sabbir Khan) would surely be thrilled to bits with this piece of good news.

Shazahn Padamsee, daughter of theatre personality Alyque Padamsee and Sharon Prabhakar who makes her acting debut with Yash Raj’s Rocket Singh Salesman of the year has been going around town proclaiming she’s the lead actress cast opposite Ranbir in the movie. The newbie actress has spoken of her co-star being one of the most charming men she’d ever come across and model Gauhar Khan who also makes her acting debut in the movie hasn’t been taking to well to all the hoopla around Shazahn.

As we had earlier reported on Shazahn having just a small bit role in the movie, a source present on the sets of the movie reports, “Shazahn has been trying hard to break through the acting industry for a while now. She’s done quite a lot of modelling assignments and ads in the past, the day she landed Yash Raj’s Rocket Singh, she was over the moon. Not only did she go around town boasting of her role and co-star in the movie but also bought to light the several other assignments she’s doing currently like the Shah Rukh – Airtel ad for example.”

However the source further adds, “But frankly all this is just publicity to help garner her other projects after Rocket Singh as her role in the movie is limited to just a couple of scenes in the movie. She’s only shot for four days for the movie while Gauhar has shot for four months. Surprisingly even Ranbir didn’t take well to her going around town proclaiming she’s the lead actress of the film as the storyline doesn’t give much priority to the love-story angle and the film is something very different from what Yash Raj have done in the past.”

Gauhar on the other hand has begun to avoid Shazahn completely and both women ignored each other at a recent event of the movie. Gauhar even told the press, ‘It is not the number of days we shoot for that defines our work. It’s about your character in the film and once the audience sees the film, they can decide for themselves.’ Shazahn had told, “Its been an exciting journey shooting for Rocket Singh and I cant wait for my first big Bollywood release.”
